Hi all! I’m so excited to see so many new faces here and thought it would be nice to share a little about my family.
A Little About Us
My husband Mikey and I have been married for coming up on 6 years and together for almost 10. It really is just so crazy how time flies! We met playing volleyball- and guys, I may be a giant, but I am not good at volleyball! I’ll do a post soon on the story of how we met. He is my biggest cheerleader and supporter and I could not have found a better partner in life.
We are blessed to have two boys that are very close in age at 16 months apart. It is such a busy time let me tell ya!
Vinny aka “Ninny” or “Nins” as Jojo calls him, is our 3 year old. Guys, who’s with me on this- age 3 is so much more challenging than age 2! He is strong willed, super smart and is not a fan of bedtime. He loves anything involving super heroes or Halloween and would love to dress in a costume every single day. He made me a mama and I know he will do amazing things in life.
Joey aka Jojo is our 2 year old. When he was first born Vinny had just turned 16 months old and he started the nickname “Jojo” because he couldn’t say “Joey”. It just stuck, and I love it! He is the sweetest baby that loves to give and receive hugs, tickles and kisses. Trust me when I tell you there is no one that loves applesauce more than this kid! He also loves to go to bed, which is amazing let me tell ya! He is kindhearted and I swear he’s an angel sent from heaven.
Can’t forget about our pup! Maddy is our jackapoo and she is 13 years old. I got her when she was just 4 months old and we have been through so much together! She is very good with the kids and at begging for food, ha!
We moved from the city of Chicago to the suburbs when I was pregnant with Vinny. In the city we lived in a 3 story walk-up and had street parking, so having a house now is great for the kids and our pup. Having a backyard and a garage is the best, lol! It’s the little things, guys!
What We Do
For work, Mikey is a special education teacher for high school students and I work as a nurse part time. I work in the operating room a couple times a week and I also work as a nurse injector for a plastic surgeon injecting Botox and fillers. I also, am in network marketing selling hair care- which by the way is something that I said I would NEVER do and well, here I am! And I’m loving it! Another post on that coming soon.
On the days I don’t work I’m home with the kids and it’s been a nice balance. I plan to share more about my family through this blogging adventure, but thought it would be nice just to give you a quick overview of who we are.
Thanks so much for all of your support and following along on this journey! I’m so glad that you’re here!
